CSI TriSano® Full Feature List
Surveillance, Investigation, Analysis
CSI TriSano® is a highly configurable, comprehensive surveillance and outbreak management application for global public health and healthcare. It allows local, state, federal and international agencies to identify, investigate, and mitigate communicable and chronic diseases, environmental hazards, and bioterrorism events. CSI TriSano® supports secure data exchange with laboratories, clinicians, hospitals, vital records, immunization registries, and health information exchanges as well as offers sophisticated analysis, visualization, and reporting of contact and case information. CSI TriSano® increases overall effectiveness in preventing morbidity and mortality through decreased reporting time, automated assignment and routing processes, easy form-creation tools, trend analysis, detection of anomalies, and quality assurance.
Case Management
Through an easy to use tabbed interface, a CSI TriSano® user can enter demographic, clinical, laboratory, contact, encounter, epidemiological and investigation information for a case. Files, tasks and notes can be attached. Cases can be routed to a queue or an individual, and associated with an outbreak event. The flexible CSI TriSano® Form Builder can be used to gather disease-specific information throughout the investigation of the case. Lab test results can electronically be submitted to start a new case or applied to an existing case. A user can use geocoding to look up and update a patient's address, update the longitude and latitude coordinates of that address, and display a map of the address.
Contact Management
As part of the investigation, contacts can be added to the case and can include demographic, clinical, laboratory, epidemiological and investigative information. If needed, a contact can be elevated to a CMR while still remaining as a contact of the original patient. As with cases, files, tasks and notes can be attached to a contact, contacts can be routed to a queue or an individual, and the Form Builder used to add disease-specific questions. A user can use geocoding to look up and update a contact's address, update the longitude and latitude coordinates of that address, and display a map of the address.
Outbreak Management Enhanced
CSI TriSano® provides outbreak management support through the creation of an outbreak event. Each outbreak event can be given a name, responsible jurisdiction and associated with a disease. As cases are reported, they can easily be associated with the outbreak event. From the outbreak event, associated events can be listed, viewed and updated. The flexible CSI TriSano® From Builder can be used to create forms for the outbreak event and associated cases to gather additional information. In addition, all the outbreak event information is extracted and loaded into the CSI TriSano® data warehouse for further analysis.
Environmentals
During the investigation, place exposures can be added to the case. Each place can be updated with additional information, including questions added through the Form Builder. A user can use Google Maps Premier, embedded in CSI TriSano® to look up and update a place's address, update the longitude and latitude coordinates of that address, and display a map of the address.
Encounters
Encounters with the patient can be added to the case. Each encounter includes the name of the public health official, the location, date and a description. In addition, each encounter can be updated with additional clinical, laboratory and investigative information, including questions added through the Form Builder.
Form Builder
CSI TriSano® includes a powerful and flexible Form Builder that allows public health officials to extend the capabilities of CSI TriSano® by capturing additional information for existing or new public health situations without vendor or IT involvement. New questions can be integrated easily with existing core data, and can appear conditionally based on answers to other questions. The Form Builder lets you capture additional information for each of the different event types maintained in CSI TriSano®: Morbidity, Contact, Encounter, Place Exposure and Outbreak Events.
Globalization New
Through globalization, CSI TriSano® has been designed to be used worldwide by providing support for multiple 8-bit and 16-bit languages. The user can either update an existing event with the lab results, create a new event with the lab results, or discard the lab results. In addition, the system supports the management of LOINC and organisms codes for laboratory and clinical observations and tests. CSI TriSano® Electronic Lab Reporting capabilities provide timely access to data so public health officials can take quicker coordinated action.
EHR/HIE Connectivity
CSI TriSano® provides a staging area for accepting HL7 messages for public health. This support can be extended, as needed, to accept additional HL7 messages to support the meaningful use criteria for EHR, PHR and HIE systems to interface with public health systems.
Geocoding, Mapping and Address Verification
CSI TriSano® includes Google Maps Premier to provide real-time geocoding, verification of addresses, and mapping. Using this capability, you can geocode and verify addresses for patients, contacts and places. You can then map any of these addresses. In addition, you can map a patient and all their contacts or place exposures, or the results of an event search using the very powerful search capabilities in CSI TriSano®. The latitude and longitude coordinates of the address can be stored in the transaction database and exported to the data warehouse, or in CSV format, for further analysis.
Data Warehouse for Analysis, Visualization and Reporting (AVR) Enhanced
The CSI TriSano® Data Warehouse provides end-user query, reporting and OLAP capabilities against information extracted from the CSI TriSano® transaction system. Data is extracted, including disease specific information created using the Form Builder, at user-defined intervals, transformed for ease of access, and loaded into the data warehouse. With CSI TriSano®'s AVR capabilities epidemiologists and other public health officials can perform state-of-the-art analysis and research. CSI TriSano® includes the following advanced AVR features:
